2010 MBA Community Regulations
These Community Regulations are intended to prohibit or regulate conduct that the community finds dangerous, a nuisance, environmentally unfriendly, or threatening to the private status of the community or the beach and to their tranquil enjoyment. The parking regulations are intended to keep our streets clear for traffic, especially emergency vehicles; to provide parking on the Beach Side for owners, renters and their guests; and, to maintain an open, attractive resort community appearance.
The Regulations do not extend to all behavior that might well be considered obnoxious at certain times and under certain circumstances. It is hoped that each of us would be sensitive to the needs and wishes of our neighbors and would refrain from activities that unreasonably cause our neighbors distress or discomfort or which might adversely affect the attractiveness of the community and, therefore, the economic value of our properties. Courtesy and consideration should be the guide. Please enjoy Middlesex Beach and help your neighbors do likewise.
BEACH:
Our beaches are guarded weekends from Memorial Day to June 3, and daily from June 9 to Labor Day. Guard hours are from 10AM to 5PM; check the flag by the Guard House for surf conditions.
A green flag means unrestricted swimming.
A yellow flag means only adults are unrestricted; children not beyond their waist.
A red flag means no one can go in the water. Additional information will be posted on the back of each Guard Stand. Check with the guard if in doubt-feel free to ask them about swim conditions and to point out any undertow areas to be avoided. Remember-they are here to help you stay safe.
The following are prohibited on the beach:
Lingering, loitering, sitting on or occupying the beach without displaying an MBA Beach Pass.
Walking on or occupying the dunes.
Beach fires.
Playing radios or other electronic equipment at volume levels that disturb other beach goers.
Noisily lingering, partying or congregating between 11 PM and 6 AM.
Camping or sleeping overnight
The following are prohibited on the beach from May 17-September 17, 2010
ALL pets, on or off leash.
Any surf fishing between 10AM and 5PM.
Surfboarding between 10AM and 5PM.
Skimboards MAY be used at the lifeguard’s discretion, depending on how crowded the beach is.
PARKING:
You are encouraged to park as many vehicles on your property as possible; along Dune Rd in particular they should not extend onto the right of way.
Street parking is permitted only in the specifically marked parallel or diagonal spaces on the Beach side, and in the marked spaces behind McDonald’s, provided that a current MBA Parking Permit is properly displayed. If using the parking sticker, it should be attached either to the back of the rear view mirror, the front left bumper, or driver's side windshield. If using the hanging tag, please hang it on your rear view mirror.
Parking is prohibited in front of any fire hydrant, on the ocean side of Dune Road, and on both sides of Bridge Road east of Route 1. Except for the spaces behind McDonald’s, on-street parking is prohibited on all of the roads on the west side of Route 1.
In the event of a party/occasion please use form in the front of the directory (forms also available at the Guard House and on website) to notify Middlesex Beach Security; with advance notice, every consideration will be made to accommodate guest parking with the limited parking spaces available.
No camper or trailer shall be parked and used within the Middlesex Beach community.
If a car is parked illegally, it shall be subject to being towed at the owner’s expense.
GENERAL:
Please use reasonable care in maintaining the appearance of the community. Bathing suits, towels and other wet paraphernalia should be hung on clotheslines and not festooned on porch railings, etc.
Please observe the posted speed limit throughout the community.
Loud parties and noises should be controlled after 11PM.
