I am pleased to be nominated to serve the Middlesex community as a member of the Board of Directors.
We bought our house in 1989 and have increasingly enjoyed the quiet beauty of the green side of Middlesex.
This community is unique among the Middle Atlantic developments.
The private beach is increasingly valuable; the large wooded lots are unmatched.
I believe the already desirable quality of life and the amenities of Middlesex can be continually improved; they can also be threatened by seemingly unrelated ahcnges already underway in Sussex County and elsewhere.
My wife, Clare Crawford-Mason and I formed an independent television production company in 1981 and continue to produce documentaries for public television. Most of our work has dealt with the quality improvement of the 1980s and 90s and new management practices. But we also did a set of armchair fitness exercise cassettes for people who can't (or won't) exercise while standing. The story is told at managementwisdom.com. In an earlier career at the Smithsonian Institution, I helped establish the Smithsonian Associates and served as the first executive director and initiator of Smithsonian Magazine. |
