Colin himself will be starting his 11th season on the MBP; he is a former All-American swimmer at Division II Shippensburg University, former swim team captain at Shippensburg University, and a former collegiate coach at Slippery Rock University. In addition to working on the MBP, he has worked for Sea Colony and Rehoboth during past Septembers and in Boca Raton, FL during the entire "offseason" of 2002-2003. Before he started guarding at the beach, he was a supervisor at Parker Dam State Park in Pennsylvania. During the offseason, Colin teaches 8th grade Science; he has a graduate degree in Athletic Administration from Slippery Rock University, and did undergraduate work in Earth/Space Sciences and Secondary Education at Shippensburg University. Other guards for this summer include these returning members of the 2004 staff: Harper Cornell: Senior at York College, 5th Year with the patrol. Grant Hastings: Sophomore at Dickinson University, 4th season, back-up quarterback for football at Dickinson. Conor McMullen: Sophomore at Mary Washington University, 4th season.
