We are pleased to announce that our Middlesex Beach Patrol member Lindsay Gunter has had an exceptional performance at the Mid Atlantic Regional Comp/Qualifier for all New York through Virginia beaches!
She placed:
2nd overall in two mile run
4th in the Run Swim Run
6th in a Rescue Swim Race
She is a full time teacher, yet remains committed to our patrol and obviously demonstrates exceptional drive.
Her character far exceeds her excellent achievements.
She is the type of person that we all benefit from supporting, and we are fortunate to have her represent our community.
Lindsay is exceptional in every aspect of her service to MBP.
Beach Patrol Captain Colin Crandell and Beach Committee Chair proposed sending her to nationals in California to represent our locale.
South Bethany Patrol women said she could room with them and share their car rental.
The Board also commends Colin Crandell for his contribution in preparing Lindsay for this opportunity
David Taylor states "I personally feel its an opportunity for the whole community to benefit from sharing in her journey.
I contend that it is no coincidence that she did so well primarily in the particular actual life saving/rescue skills events."
That fact can be attributed to Colin's preparation, but surely he will tell you Lindsay made it all happen.
The MBA Board was more than happy to provide funding for this trip.
