The MBA Board of Directors is composed of 8 elected members and the Past President.
As is stated in our Certificate of Incorporation,
Board members must be either a property owner, adult family members of a property owner, or representative of an articial entity (LLC, etc) that owns a property.
At the End of Summer Community meeting, the MBA elects for 4 Board Members to 2 year terms.
The new Board members then elect the Officers to 1 year terms.
(The President's term is limited to 2 consecutive years; there are no other limits on officers or Board members.)
This Labor Day weekend, the 2 year terms of incumbents Leon Billings, Glenn Hamilton, Jennifer Kazemzadeh, Gerhard Thelen will be expiring.
Since Billings will have reached the maximum 2 year term for MBA President, he will replace Dave Wiecking in the unelected Board position of Past President.
Hamilton (7 Dune Rd) and Thelen (26 Bridge Rd) are each willing to serve another 2 year term; Kazemzadeh will not run for reelection.
The Nominating Committee intends to nominate incumbents Hamilton and Thelen, in addition to Jeff Stoiber (23 Short Rd) and Dave Wiecking (15 Dune Rd) to run for regular 2 year terms on the Board.
Craig Kellerman has indicated that he will step down from the Board for personal reasons.
Sharon Adams (13 Bridge Road) is being nominated to serve the one year balance of his term.
Nominations may be made from the floor of the Community Meeting.
Additionally, eligible candidates may inform the President in writing of their desire to be nominated at any time prior to the meeting.
The 2 year terms of Mary Bode Byrd (33 E. Errett Rd), Lindy Cohee (18 Bridge Rd) and Ellen Throop (14 Errett Rd) will expire in September 2012.
