  • Commercial Area Drainage
    General Description
The main drainage problem associated with the Commercial area is that it drains too fast, and excess sediment and pollutants are carried straight to the storm drains along Coastal Highway. and are quickly dumped into the Anchorage Basin, which is the northeasternmost point in the South Bethany canal system.

Water does pond at the intersection of Beach Plum and Evergreen, leading to deterioration of the roadbed. hopefully this can be addressed by adjusting the elevation of the shoulder.
