CONSTRUCTION IN MIDDLESEX BEACH

New fees effective for all construction after Labor Day 2008:

No Construction Permit is necessary for any work under $5,000

Any work which is less than $10,000 - no fee for a permit
(But a Permit IS required for work between $5,000 - $10,000)

All work between $10,000-$20,000 - $200 Permit fee.

All work above $20,000 - the Permit fee is $200 plus additional 1/2% of total project cost
to a MAXIMUM of $1000 (reached when a projects hits $180,000)

Commercial Permit fees remain unchanged at this time:
Any new Commercial Construction:  $2,000 Permit Fee
Any Commercial Renovation over $10,000:  $1,000 Permit Fee

Please note that any work which is started without a valid Middlesex Building permit will result in fines of $100 per day.

 

For all projects over $10,000, the Property Owner must submit a construction bond of 5% of estimated construction cost along with all of the application documents.
