All "recently redone" pages on this website use standard Arial font, which is quite readable. Note that some older pages use a similar, but slightly wider font (Verdana), which results in less information being visible at one time. As pages are redone, use of the Verdana font will be phased out. Most pages are set to appear without horizontal scroll bars when viewed at a screen resolution of 800x600. Note that some of the pages with large pictures appear slightly wider. Many documents available on the site are in Adobe PDF format. The Adobe viewer is available as a free download from adobe.com. While the still pictures on the Middlesex Live WebCam portion of the site can be viewed with no special software, an Active X viewer must be downloaded to view the streaming video. Visitors to this page are prompted to install this viewer. No evil effects have been observed by the webmaster after installing this viewer on several computers, but your mileage may vary...doubtful though... |
